No Bank Account? No Problem! Cheque Cashier's can pay instant cash for most cheques:
The first time you an cheque cashier's branche to cash a cheque, you will require at leat 3 forms of identification. At least one must contain a copy of your signature and another must confirm your current address and all the addresses on any document you supply must match. A commission fee is payable and you will be asked to complete a "New Customer Registration Form" and your details will be entered into a computer and a digital photograph will be taken. This will provide a permenant record and enable us to recognise you in any future transactions. Most cheque cashier's like Cash for Cheques® uses a points system to evaluate the Identification that you produce. For example, a Passport is worth 40 points, a full Driving Licence is worth 40 points and a Bank Statetment is worth 25 points. A minimum of 100 points is required to cash a cheque upto the value £1,000 and at least 140 points are required for cheques of a greater value. Please note that most cheque cashier's do not accept photocopies and it helps us to process your application if you can produce evidence that the cheque is rightfully yours. e.g. a payslip, statement from an insurance company, etc. Confirmation of your address will be required by producing an up-to-date official body letter or utility bill every 3 months.
