How much can I cash in one visit?

Based on cash for cheques or cheque cashier's may have diffirent procedures:

With at least 100 points of ID cheque cashier's can cash up to £1,000. With 140 points they can immediately cash up to £3,000. Larger amounts can be cashed subject to prior clearance of the cheque (please contact your nearest branch for further details)

Can I cash a personal cheque?

Yes, if you have a current cheque guarantee card. If required Cash for Cheques will also hold your cheque for up to 28 days before banking to stop you going overdrawn.

Can I cash a cheque made payable to a Limited Company?

No. All cheques must be made payable to the person who is cashing them.

How many cheques can I cash in one visit?

Only one cheque can be cashed per customer per 7 days for the same cheque drawer. There may, however, be certain circumstances when more than one cheque can be cashed - for example one wages cheque plus an insurance refund cheque.

Can I cash cheques on a Saturday?

Yes. Most of cheque cashing branches are open on Saturday mornings and some of them are open in the afternoon as well. Please contact your local branch of your choice to check out their opening times.

Why do people use a cheque cashing service instead of going to their Bank or Building Society?

Surprisingly, in the UK over 3 million people do not have a Bank or Building Society account and therefore have no easy way of cashing a cheque. As well as this people often find themselves in the situation or requiring cash immediately - not after the cheque has been cleared.
